Description
The Bower MK-5000 is an excellent choice for those looking for a professional quality long distant lens. The lens features an incredible zoom range from 650mm all the way to 1300mm! This is a T-mount lens, which means that the aperture is not communicated to or controlled by the camera body and as such should be used in aperture-priority auto exposure mode or in manual exposure mode. Great for taking "bulb" setting long exposure shots. It is manually focused by simply turning the barrel ring. Focal length is adjusted by pushing or pulling the tube end.It has 8 multi-coated elements in 5 groups to reduce flare and increase light transmission and the 95mm objective lens offers ample light collection even in low light settings. A deep lens shade (2 in.) with matted dark internal coating reduces glare. The white barrel lens helps to reduce heat build-up. The integrated 1/4 20 size tripod mount offers excellent balance even on lighter tripods with out putting undue strain on the camera body. The lens is about 19in. in length at its shortest and 24in. when fully extended. It weighs about 4.4 lbs. This type of lens is essential for anyone interested in celestial photography, long-distance birding, or any other application where getting close isn't practical.
This lens comes with a lens cover and a carry case. There are small marks on the casing but the lens ends are both in very good condition with no damage found on them.
