If you had to sum Hello Neighbor up in a quick elevator pitch, you'd have to say 'Home Alone meets Resident Evil 7' which is, all things told, a pretty weird and compelling pitch for a game. If you were talking to someone too young to have heard of Home Alone and had a little longer, you'd explain that it's a stealthy survival horror game in which your neighbor is up to something extremely dodgy. Having figured this out you start to investigate his house. The only problem is, while you're snooping around trying to figure him out, he's doing the same to you. What follows is a game of cat and mouse, in which he's trying to murder you via a series of unlikely death traps which are, effectively, lethal puzzles to be solved. More intriguingly, developer Dynamic Pixel has built a procedural AI that will pick up your trail by seeing where you've been and learning from your movements, meaning the longer you play the better it becomes at killing you. Throw in some cool poppy visuals and you've got a recipe for a twisted time that plays on all the fears of living the so-called suburban dream!
