Line 6 DT25 is a 25-watt guitar combo with a 12-inch Celestion G12H90 speaker that combines digital modelling technology with the warm sound and dynamics of a tube amplifier. The DT25 is an excellent stand-alone device but reaches its full potential when combined with POD HD line processors. This combo is equipped with two independent channels to which you can assign two of four voicings: Classic American, British Crunch, Class A Chime and Modern High Gain. This function allows you to set two clean channels, two overdrive channels or a combination of clean and overdrive.
Line 6 DT25: full tonal freedom
The DT25 features several versatile options to create your perfect sound. For instance, you can switch the power-amp tubes between class A (10 watts) and class AB (25 watts), enabling you to opt for more dynamics and sensitivity or rather more power with extra headroom. Additionally, there's a Pentode/Triode switch that enables you to go from a modern, tight sound to a rounder, more vintage tone. Moreover, there's a built-in digital Spring Reverb and an option to connect auxiliary effect via the serial FX loop for additional tonal variation.
The sound of over-driven tubes at low volumes
How about playing guitar late at night without bothering anyone? Engage the Low Volume mode to reduce output, enabling you to keep the master volume down while retaining the sound of a tube amplifier at high volumes - ideal for at home and studio recording.
L6 LINK: seamless integration with POD HD processors
One of the most important features of the DT25 is its L6 LINK connector, as it allows you to connect other Line 6 equipment, like a POD HD floor effect processor, for instance. This way, you can combine the POD HD's amp models and effects with the DT25's tube-driven amplification. When you switch from one amplifier type to the next on the POD, the DT25 will automatically use the appropriate settings. The results are even more extreme when you use a Line 6 James Tyler Variax. One single push on a button aligns presets on the POD HD and the settings of the DT25 as you choose the right guitar model and tuning on the Variax.
