Description

British comedy collection featuring all the episodes from 'Please Sir!', the sequel series 'The Fenn Street Gang', the spin-off series 'Bowler' and the feature film 'Please Sir!' (1971). In the series 'Please Sir!' John Alderton stars as Bernard Hedges, teacher of the wayward class 5C at Fenn Street School. Hedges has the unenviable job of trying to teach the unruly class while also dealing with nosey caretaker Norman Potter (Deryck Guyler) who challenges his every move with rules and regulations and student Maureen Bullock (Liz Gebhart) who nurses a huge crush on him. Stanley Bowler (Baker) was born and bred in the East End and makes a good living from his involvement in underhand enterprises. However, whether attempting to set himself up as a laird or opening his own gentlemen's club, his ventures into society are never quite so successful. Finally, in the feature film 'Please Sir!' (1971) the unruly class of 5C enjoy a trip to the country where they taunt a rival school, visit a pub and start a food fight.
