This is a vintage and highly sought-after WEM Watkins Copicat IC300, a classic solid-state tape echo unit from the 1970s. Famous for its warm, atmospheric echo and delay effects, this iconic piece of British music history is perfect for a restoration project or as a source of rare, original parts for another unit.This unit is being sold strictly for spares or repair. It powers on when plugged in, as shown by the illuminated red mains switch in the photos and spool is rotating. However, no further testing has been conducted. We have not tested the audio inputs, outputs, or tape transport mechanism.Cosmetically, the unit is in poor condition consistent with its age and years of storage. The outer case is heavily worn, scuffed, and has been taped together on one side. The metal latches and handle show significant rust and corrosion.
