Meanwhile, the £1 piece bears the heraldic Scottish Lion Rampant on the old-style 'round pound'. Also present is the definitive 1999 50p, 20p, 10p, 5p, 2p and 1p. Each BU coin has an obverse holding Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait of Elizabeth II, which was first used in 1998.
