Seller's Description
1875 Full Sovereign Victoria Young Head The "upside down head" on a gold sovereign refers to the Young Head Victorian coins minted between 1838 and 1887. Please read the description and review the photos. - The sovereign has had some sort of "repair" this was not something done professionally as the material is silver in colour. The material also isn't moulded to the coin and doesn't fit within the side ridges. This "repair" can be found on the left side of the coin near the horses tail. - On the face of the sovereign there is an "X" or cross scratched into the coin. This is by the horses head. - The outer side of the coin does have a few marks and dents. A more noticeable one is located on the right side by the horses leg. Another noticeable mark/dent is in the top left corner above the cape. This Sovereign has clearly had an interesting life so far based on the condition.
