About this item The Royal Mint The 2014 United Kingdom Annual Coin Set, a fourteen-coin collection bringing together the year's eight definitive coins with six commemorative releases, all struck to Brilliant Uncirculated standard. The commemorative coins mark the 300th anniversary of the death of Queen Anne (£5), the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War (£2), the 500th anniversary of Trinity House (£2), the floral emblems of Scotland and Northern Ireland (two £1 coins, completing the series begun in 2013), and the Glasgow Commonwealth Games (50p). The definitive coins feature Matthew Dent's shield of the Royal Arms design, with each coin bearing Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, 2014 being the final year this effigy appeared as the definitive circulating portrait.
