The set is led by two silver coins: the .925 sterling silver $10 depicting Admiral George Rodney, and the .500 silver $5 featuring Norman W. Manley, with the remaining seven denominations struck in copper-nickel and aluminium. The obverse of each coin bears the coat of arms of Jamaica, with the denomination and date below, while the reverse designs celebrate the island's national heroes, wildlife and flora, from the Doctor Bird to the native ackee fruit.
