About this item Lovely vintage postcard album containing 106 ship and ocean liner postcards/photos, with many maritime and steamship subjects throughout. The album includes visible Blue Funnel Line / Ocean Steam Ship Company related pieces, plus named vessels such as Achilles, Adrastus, Ascanius, Atreus, Autolycus, Deucalion, Diomed, Queen Mary and others shown in the photos. Some pages have handwritten labels with vessel names and tonnage, which gives the album a nice collector feel. There is also loose paper ephemera included, including a Blue Funnel fleet sheet and an old newspaper clipping shown in the photos. A really interesting old maritime collection for postcard, shipping, ocean liner or transport collectors. Condition: Overall good for its age, but definitely vintage and showing age-related wear. The album cover has rubbing, corner wear, marks and fraying around the edges/spine. The pages show age, marks, wear, corner mounts, old tape, and some loose or aged areas. The postcards/photos appear generally well kept for age, but some may have marks, foxing, corner wear, fading, tape residue or album mount marks.
