Seller's Description

Specific description (Xbox 360 version, no DLC): Set in the year 2027 during a global era of rapid human augmentation, the story follows Adam Jensen, head of security for Sarif Industries, a leading biotechnology corporation specializing in cybernetic enhancements. After a violent attack leaves him critically injured and his employers targeted by a mysterious conspiracy, Jensen is rebuilt with advanced mechanical augmentations and begins an investigation that spans multiple countries and uncovers a far-reaching plot involving corporations, secret organizations, and the future of human evolution. Gameplay combines first-person shooting, stealth, exploration, role-playing mechanics, and player choice. Missions can often be completed through direct combat, stealth, hacking, social interaction, or by discovering alternate routes through environments. Players earn experience points for completing objectives and can invest Praxis Points to unlock and upgrade augmentations, enhancing Jensen's abilities in areas such as hacking, cloaking, strength, armor, mobility, and combat efficiency. The Xbox 360 version features a full single-player campaign set across locations including Detroit, Hengsha, Montreal, and Panchaea. Players can customize weapons with upgrades, hack computers and security systems through a minigame, engage in dialogue sequences that influence conversations, and make decisions that affect certain story outcomes. The original Xbox 360 release includes the complete base campaign only, excluding the The Missing Link expansion and any pre-order or promotional downloadable content. The game is widely recognized for its emphasis on player freedom, multiple approaches to objectives, cyberpunk atmosphere, and its blend of immersive simulation and role-playing elements, serving as a prequel to the original Deus Ex while introducing a new protagonist and storyline.
