Set in the year 2552, Halo 3 continues the events of Halo 2 as humanity's war against the Covenant reaches its climax. Grenades, melee attacks, and regenerating energy shields remain central to combat. The Xbox 360 version introduces Equipment items, single-use devices that provide tactical advantages during combat. Examples include the Bubble Shield, Deployable Cover, Regenerator, Power Drain, Trip Mine, and Grav Lift.
